Candywriter, LLC. – General Participation Terms Applicable to all In-Game Contests, Social Media Giveaways, and Sweepstakes (each a "Promotion")

These Terms and Conditions of Participation have been prepared in multiple languages. In the event of any discrepancies or ambiguities, the English version shall prevail.

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN ANY PROMOTION. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW.

1. Organizer

1.1. These General Participation Terms ("Terms") apply to all Promotions run by Candywriter, LLC., 1521 Alton Rd., Ste 670. Miami Beach, FL 33139, United States ("Organizer") or any of its subsidiaries.

1.2. Where a specific Promotion is administered by an independent third party ("Administrator"), that Administrator will be identified in the Promotion-Specific Terms (see Section 18).

2. Scope and Acceptance

2.1. These Terms apply to every Promotion we run unless a specific Promotion states otherwise. By entering a Promotion, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms in full, as well as any Promotion-Specific Terms applicable to that Promotion. Where there is a conflict, the Promotion-Specific Terms prevail.

2.2. Each Promotion is also subject to the applicable Terms of Service and Privacy Policy for the relevant game or platform through which the Promotion is conducted, as available on the official website of that game or platform. In the event of a conflict between those Terms of Service and these Terms, these Terms prevail with respect to the Promotion.

3. Eligibility

3.1 General

To enter any Promotion, you must:

• be a natural person entering in your own name;
• meet the minimum age requirement set out below;
• are a UK Participant, a CAN Participant, or an US Participant as set out below;
• have a valid method of entry as described in these Terms or the Promotion-Specific Terms; and
• not be an employee, officer, director, contractor, or agent of the Organizer, any affiliated company, or any agency involved in running the Promotion, nor an immediate family member or household member of any such person.
• file only one entry per person per Promotion unless the Promotion-Specific Terms state otherwise.

3.2 UK Participants

You must be a legal resident of England, Wales, Scotland, or Northern Ireland. The minimum age to participate is 18 years. Residents of the Crown Dependencies (Isle of Man, Jersey, and Guernsey) and of any British Overseas Territory are not eligible unless expressly included in the Promotion-Specific Terms. Void wherever prohibited or restricted by law.

3.3 CAN Participants

You must be a resident of Canada. The minimum age to participate is 18 years, except in British Columbia, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland, Northwest Territories, Yukon, Nunavut where the minimum age is 19 years.

3.4 US Participants

You must be a legal resident of one of the eligible U.S. States or the District of Columbia. The minimum age to participate is 18 years, except in Alabama and Nebraska (minimum age: 19 years) and Mississippi (minimum age: 21 years). Void in Puerto Rico, all U.S. territories and possessions, and wherever prohibited or restricted by law.

4. How to Enter

4.1 General

4.1.1. The specific entry method for each Promotion (e.g., completing an online form, posting on social media, in-game action) is set out in the Promotion-Specific Terms. All entries must be submitted during the Promotion Period (see Section 5). Late, incomplete, or incorrect entries will not be considered. Proof of submission does not constitute proof of receipt.

4.1.2. Entries generated by bots, scripts, macros, artificial intelligence systems, or any other automated means are void and will result in disqualification. Using multiple accounts, false identities, or any other method to obtain additional entries is prohibited.

4.2 US Participants – No Purchase / Alternate Method of Entry (AMOE)

No purchase is necessary. To enter any Promotion without purchase and without internet access, hand-print your full legal name, mailing address, email address, telephone number, and date of birth on a 3" x 5" card and mail it in a hand-addressed, stamped envelope to the address stated in the Promotion-Specific Terms. Residents of Vermont do not need to include return postage. Limit: one (1) AMOE entry per mailing envelope. AMOE entries must be postmarked by the end of the Promotion Period and received by the date stated in the Promotion-Specific Terms.

5. Promotion Period

Each Promotion runs for the period stated in the Promotion-Specific Terms. All times are as stated in the Promotion-Specific Terms (e.g., Eastern Time for US Promotions; UK time (GMT/BST) for UK Promotions; Eastern Time for Canadian Promotions). The Organizer's or Administrator's server clock is the official timekeeper.

6. Prizes

6.1 General

The prize(s) available for each Promotion are described in the Promotion-Specific Terms. Unless stated otherwise:

• prizes are non-transferable, non-assignable, and cannot be exchanged for cash;
• no substitution of a prize is permitted by the winner;
• the Organizer reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the stated prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond its control; any substitute prize offered shall be reasonably comparable in nature to the original prize;
• resale of any prize is prohibited; and
• limit of one (1) prize per person per Promotion.

If a winner does not claim their prize within the timeframe set out in Section 8, the prize will be forfeited and will not be awarded. The Organizer accepts no responsibility for prizes that are lost, delayed, or damaged after dispatch to the winner.

6.2 UK and CAN Participants

Any taxes or duties arising from receipt of a prize are the winner's sole responsibility. Tax rules vary by country; winners are encouraged to seek independent tax advice.

6.3 US Participants

The Approximate Retail Value ("ARV") of each prize is stated in the Promotion-Specific Terms. Any difference between the stated ARV and the actual value will not be awarded in cash or otherwise. All federal, state, and local taxes on prizes are the winner's sole responsibility. For prizes with an ARV of $600 or more, the winner will be required to complete IRS Form W-9 (U.S. persons) or Form W-8BEN (non-U.S. persons) before the prize is awarded. Failure to provide the required tax documentation within the stated timeframe may result in forfeiture of the prize.

7. Winner Selection

7.1. Winners are selected by random draw from all valid entries received during the Promotion Period, unless the Promotion-Specific Terms state a different method (e.g., judged contest). All decisions of the Organizer and Administrator are final and binding.

7.2. The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received. The draw will be conducted as set out in the Promotion-Specific Terms Section 18.

8. Winner Notification and Prize Claim

8.1 General

8.1.1. Winners will be notified via the contact details provided at entry (e.g., email or direct message) within the timeframe stated in the Promotion-Specific Terms. Winners must respond and confirm acceptance within five (5) calendar days of notification (or such other period as stated in the Promotion-Specific Terms). Failure to respond in time will result in forfeiture of the prize and the selection of an alternate winner. Up to three (3) alternate winners may be selected per prize.

8.1.2. The Organizer is not responsible for failed delivery of notifications due to incorrect contact details or technical issues outside its control.

8.2 UK and CAN Participants

Winners may be required to provide proof of identity and residency before the prize is awarded.

8.3 US Participants

As a condition of receiving a prize, winners must sign and return within five (5) calendar days of issuance:

• (i) an Affidavit of Eligibility;
• (ii) a Release of Liability;
• (iii) where not prohibited by law, a Publicity Release; and
• (iv) IRS Form W-9 or W-8BEN.

Failure to return completed documents within the required time will result in forfeiture of the prize and selection of an alternate winner.

9. Publicity

9.1 General

By accepting a prize, a winner agrees that the Organizer may publish their first name and the first letter of their last name, along with their city/region, on the Organizer's website and official social media channels for the purposes of announcing the winner.

The winner(s) list is available upon request. Please email such request to support@bitlifeapp.com including the name of the Promotion and the App it relates to and use "Winner List Request" in the subject line of your email.

9.2 UK Participants

The winner's surname and county of residence (in addition to first name) will be made available on request for a period of at least three (3) months following the closing date of the Promotion, subject to the winner's consent and applicable data protection law.

9.3 US Participants

Except where prohibited by law, acceptance of a prize constitutes the winner's consent to the Organizer's use of their name, likeness, photograph, voice, and biographical information for advertising and promotional purposes in any media, worldwide, without additional compensation.

10. Disqualification

The Organizer may disqualify any participant who:

• violates these Terms or the Promotion-Specific Terms;
• provides false, inaccurate, or misleading information;
• uses bots, scripts, AI, or other automated tools to enter;
• uses multiple accounts or identities; or
• engages in any conduct that is abusive, fraudulent, or disruptive to the Promotion.

The Organizer reserves the right to recover any prize already awarded to a disqualified participant.

11. Content Submissions (Applicable where entries include user-generated content)

11.1 General

Where a Promotion requires you to submit content (e.g., photos, videos, or text), you confirm that:

• the content is your own original creation;
• it does not infringe any third-party intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights; and
• it does not contain defamatory, obscene, hateful, discriminatory, or otherwise unlawful material.

By submitting content, you grant the Organizer a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, display, and distribute your submission for the purpose of running and promoting the Promotion, for the duration of the Promotion and for a reasonable period thereafter.

The Organizer reserves the right to reject any submission that does not comply with these requirements, without notice.

12. Changes and Cancellation

The Organizer reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel any Promotion at any time for good cause, including technical failures, fraud, or circumstances beyond its control. Where possible, notice will be posted on the Promotion page. Participants have no claim against the Organizer arising from such modification or cancellation, except where caused by the Organizer's willful misconduct.

13. Complaints and Disputes

13.1. If you have a complaint or dispute regarding the conduct of a Promotion, please contact us in the first instance by email to the email support address set out in Section 18 with the subject line "PROMOTION DISPUTE – 2026 BitLife Film Festival Awards – BitLife". We will acknowledge your complaint within 5 business days and aim to resolve it within 30 days.

13.2. This complaints process does not affect any statutory rights you may have under applicable law, including the right to bring a claim before a court or competent authority.

14. Limitation of Liability

14.1 General

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Organizer is not liable for:

• technical malfunctions, interruptions, or failures affecting entry or the Promotion;
• lost, delayed, or misdirected entries;
• loss or damage to prizes in transit; or
• any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from participation in a Promotion.

14.2 UK and CAN Participants

The Organizer's liability is not limited for damages caused by willful misconduct or gross negligence, or for personal injury or death. For other damages caused by slight negligence, liability is limited to foreseeable, typical damages arising from a breach of a material contractual obligation. Mandatory consumer protection rights under the law of the participant's country of residence remain unaffected.

14.3 US Participants

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE ORGANIZER'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO ANY PARTICIPANT SHALL NOT EXCEED THE FAIR MARKET VALUE OF THE PRIZE WON (OR $50 WHERE NO PRIZE IS WON). THE ORGANIZER DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THESE LIMITATIONS, SO THEY MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU IN FULL.

Each US participant agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Organizer and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or costs (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from their participation in a Promotion or breach of these Terms.

15. Social Media Disclaimer

This Promotion is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with any social media platform, including but not limited to Meta Platforms, Inc. (Facebook/Instagram), X Corp. (X/Twitter), TikTok Ltd., Google LLC (YouTube), or any other platform. Any questions about this Promotion should be directed to the Organizer, not to any platform. By participating in a Promotion conducted through a social media platform, you agree to comply with that platform's applicable terms of service and community guidelines. The Organizer accepts no liability for any breach by a participant of a platform's terms of service.

16. Official Rules

A copy of these Terms and the Promotion-Specific Terms is available at https://bitlifeapp.com/moviedirectorterms throughout the Promotion Period and for 30 days after it ends.

Section A – For US Participants Only

A.1 Privacy (US – CCPA/CPRA)

Personal data collected from US participants is used solely to administer the Promotion. We do not sell or share participants' personal information. California residents have the right under the CCPA/CPRA to: know what data is collected; request deletion; opt out of sale or sharing of data; and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To exercise these rights, contact: dpo@stillfront.com. Other state privacy laws (including the VCDPA, CPA, and CTDPA) may provide additional rights to residents of those states.

This Promotion is not directed at children under the age set out in Clause 3.1.4. If you are under the set out age, do not enter.

A.2 State-Specific Registration

In US-States where required registrations have not been completed, residents of those states may be excluded from that Promotion; this will be stated in the Promotion-Specific Terms.

A.3 Dispute Resolution, Arbitration, and Class Action Waiver (US)

READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY. IT AFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to a Promotion or these Terms shall be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by JAMS under its Streamlined Arbitration Rules & Procedures and JAMS Consumer Minimum Standards, rather than in court.

YOU AND THE ORGANIZER AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN AN INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY CLASS OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION.

The arbitration will be conducted in Los Angeles, California. Either party may seek emergency injunctive relief from a court of competent jurisdiction to prevent irreparable harm pending arbitration. This arbitration agreement is governed by the Federal Arbitration Act.

A.4 Governing Law (US)

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Section B – For UK Participants Only

B.1 Governing Law (UK)

These Terms, to the extent they apply to UK Participants, are governed by the law of England and Wales. The choice of German law in Section A.2 does not apply to UK Participants.

B.2 Dispute Resolution (UK)

UK Participants may bring a claim before the courts of England and Wales, Scotland, or Northern Ireland, as appropriate to their place of residence. Nothing in these Terms limits any statutory right of a UK Participant to bring a claim before a competent court or authority under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or any other applicable UK law. Section 13 (Complaints and Disputes) applies equally to UK Participants.

B.3 Severability (UK)

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable under UK law, that provision shall be severed to the minimum extent necessary. The remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect and, where possible, the severed provision shall be replaced by a valid provision that most closely reflects its original intent.

Section C – For Canadian Participants Only

C.1 Skill-Testing Question (Canada)

Before being declared a winner, each selected CAN Participant must correctly answer, unaided and within the time stated in the notification, a mathematical skill-testing question administered by the Organizer. A selected entrant who fails to answer the question correctly forfeits the prize, and an alternate winner will be selected in accordance with Section 8.

C.2 Quebec

This Promotion is not open to residents of the Province of Quebec.

C.3 Privacy (Canada)

Personal information collected from CAN Participants is handled in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy legislation, and is used solely to administer the Promotion. To exercise your rights of access, correction, or withdrawal of consent, contact dpo@stillfront.com.

C.4 Governing Law and Disputes (Canada)

These Terms, to the extent they apply to CAN Participants, are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. CAN Participants may bring a claim before the courts of their province or territory of residence. Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer protection right available to a CAN Participant under applicable provincial law. The arbitration agreement and class action waiver in Section A.3 do not apply to CAN Participants. Section 13 (Complaints and Disputes) applies equally to CAN Participants.

Section 18 – Promotion-Specific Terms

The following information is specific to the Promotion identified below and supplements the General Participation Terms above. In case of conflict, these Promotion-Specific Terms prevail.

These General Participation Terms were last updated on 12 August 2026. Candywriter, LLC. reserves the right to update these Terms at any time; the version in force at the start of any Promotion applies to that Promotion.
